DASH
Display and Sight System
DASH is in Full Rate Production and operational
in F-15, F-16, F-5 and Mig-21 aircraft flying in several international
air forces. It enables pilots to aim their weapons simply by looking
at the target. The system measures the pilot's Line of Sight (LOS)
relative to the aircraft and transfers this information to the aircraft
and weapons systems. DASH is adaptable to any fighter/attack aircraft
and will accommodate advanced missiles and smart weapon lock-on
envelopes. It also offers an optional Charge-coupled Device (CCD)
camera that allows post-flight debriefing. The current production
DASH configuration is GEN IV with upgraded capabilities including
video recording and an enhanced tracker.
