Targo™
Low Cost, Low Integration HMD solution
To better serve the needs of all airborne Warfighters,
VSI has developed Targo™, a low cost, low integration solution for light attack,
airlift and trainer aircraft. The system is designed for any required
level of integration, from an autonomous training system to full-up
integrated Helmet Mounted Display (HMD). The Targo™ avionics are
located in the helmet with no Line Replaceable Units (LRUs)
in the aircraft; only the optical tracker sensor is located in the cockpit.
Targo™ provides all the benefits of tactical HMDs, such as helmet visor
projected imagery and symbology, precision head tracking and cueing.
The system also offers upgrades including navigation, training, audio
and video recording, and simulation and mission management. These
capabilities come with minimal hardware modifications and are low in cost,
while maintaining the safety and much of the functionality of VSI's other HMDs.
